Simple:

Specific:

  • “Write a short story about a dog who wants to be a firefighter. The dog lives in a small town and faces challenges like climbing ladders and saving cats from trees.”
  • “Display the averages of my last five tests in a pie chart: Jan 9: 80, Jan 16: 85, Jan 23: 60, Jan 30: 80, and Feb 6: 90.”

Detailed:

  • “Summarize the causes and effects of climate change at a 7th-grade reading level. Include examples of how climate change is impacting different parts of the world.”

Complex:
